British far right and Sinn Fein versus Irish Minister and Union leader in EU debate

I have seen it all now, the British far right leader, UKIP's Nigel Farage who last year used the Irish flag as a table cloth and Sinn Fein's former MEP Mary Lou McDonald finding common cause debating against the Lisbon Treaty and Irish government minister Dick Roche and David Begg of Irish Congress of Trade Unions on the pro Lisbon side.
see this remarkable video on link below.
The last time far left and the far right found such common cause was when Hitler and Stalin made their pact and divided Poland between them. This led to the murder of millions of European citizens. Those who fail to learn the lessons of history are condemned to repeat it. You have been warned. Vote No for a union of pan European fascists, Vote Yes for a Europe of equals.

  1. I have greatly admired your blog regarding Libertas as I found Declan Ganley and his followers extremely disturbing.

I didn't vote in the first Lisbon referendum and it was reading your blog in the run up to the Euro elections in June that convinced me that I must vote Yes in the second referendum, if only because Libertas and Coir were advocating a No vote.

However, over the course of the summer with our economy tanking, I have changed my mind and will be voting No to Lisbon. The reason I will be voting NO, is because of the neo-liberal policies followed by governments composing of Fianna Fail, PD's, Fine Gael & Labour over the last 20 years or so. One only has to look at Argentina to see where these policies will eventually end.

I no longer trust any of these political parties and will not vote Yes at their say so.

Since the economic crash, I have decided that my first preference vote in a future general election will be going to Sinn Fein (I have never voted for Sinn Fein before) as their defence of workers rights, unions and public services appeals more to me these days than boom & bust economics, privatisations and rubbish public services.

Lastly, I think comparing Sinn Fein (who are socialists and oppose neo-liberalism not the EU) with UKIP (who are racists and advocate the UK leaving the EU) is ridiculous. Your blog has been very informative up to this point.

    Kind regards.
